After the initial renewal, the standard recurring education requirement is 14 hours per two-year renewal cycle. Complete the required subjects, then renew and pay DBPR.

Use approved courses that satisfy the subject requirements for your cycle. A course with “ethics” in the title is not automatically the right credit. Membership or brokerage training requirements can be separate from state renewal. See how state CE and REALTOR® training differ.
Your renewal checklist.
- Confirm the expiration date and status in your DBPR account.
- Complete the education required for that renewal cycle.
- Save the certificate and check the reported credits.
- Submit your renewal and pay the state fee.
- Confirm your license status and next expiration date.
Finishing schoolwork does not automatically renew the license. If education is missing, contact the provider with your certificate and license number.
Renewing an inactive license.
A voluntarily inactive license still has renewal obligations. An involuntarily inactive license after a missed renewal needs a status-specific reactivation review. The appropriate education may change with the time elapsed.
Active Florida Bar members in good standing may have a CE exemption. Confirm any exemption with DBPR rather than assuming it appears on your account.
